If the 1st anode accelerates the electrons, what does the rest of them do? Do they accelerate the electrons?If so, how do they do it? If not, can pls tell me wad they are for?

(note: i read that there are more den one anode in an electron gun from wikipedia)

Much of the conductor geometry of an e beam is for producing a tightly collimated beam. The equipotential surfaces of anode[s] shape the electric field within the gun to obtain this.

What's with this "den" you use instead of "then"? Have kids' text messaging short cuts really gone that far?
