I thought so - "squaddie" and it would have earned me lots of points but it was disputed and disallowed.
I don't think I'll play again because my Father used the word all of the time whether it is in the dictionary as "slang"or not.
I was allowed just "squad" and it cost me dearly as I didn't get triple word and I had waited *ages* to get the "u" to go with the "q" too!

We used to flip the letters over and pretend they were blanks. Pretty soon the board had way more blanks than the few that it comes with.
