I would try a kick count if I were you. Eat or drink something--juice, a cookie, something like that. Lay down on your left side in a quiet room. Lay your hand on your belly for 30minutes and count the movements. Anything from 5-10 is perfect.

Hullo there!
Don't panic-there's nothing unusual about your concerns-they're all prefectly natural and I think at some point during during pregnancy every one of us has had the same concerns!!
As a whole, babies are only human-they have "up" days where they leap around like they're having a rave in there, and some days they are more relaxed, where they just want to lie there and do nothing.
The main point is, from your other posted questions, your baby is fine and you need to stop worrying so much. Its not good for you or your little lodger!
(Although, I totally understand your concerns-I'm a first timer too and went through the same worries as my baby didn't move really regularly until I was about 27 weeks!)
I did ask my midwife on friday morning about movements (I was told that large movements in the final weeks of pregnancy slow right down where the baby more or less runs out of space in there and can't leap as much!) but mine is still able to really move around in there.
She said that regular movements from around the 24-26 week mark are most common, although every pregnancy is different and you may or may not feel the baby move really regularly until then.
Bear in mind too, during the day while you're active you may not feel the baby move as you're not relaxed and actually looking out for them, or the movements may be too small for you to feel, or you may even be rocking the baby to sleep with your movements!
Most of the movements you'll feel will probably be felt at night when you're relaxing, until the last trimester, when you should feel the baby move 10 times a day. Even then though, this doesn't necessarily indicate there is a problem. Babies, as I said before, are only human.

hi, i have felt my baby from 13+5 weeks but not everyday until now really, im currently 21 weeks. By 24 weeks you should be feeling regular movements and at least 10 in a 12 hour period. make a note of any movement and if its less than 10 in 12 hours, call your MW.They will send you to the hosp and put you on a monitor for a bit just to check the little one. I had this happen twice with my last baby and all was fine. Im sure everything is fine hun.Good luck x

I had my first baby last year.
From around week 26 you should feel around 10 movements per day. Any less than this and you need to see your doctor/midwife ASAP or go to hospital for a check.
Some women feel movements later than others but you should be able to feel something from around 24-26 weeks.
Good ways to get baby moving are a warm bath (that always got my son squirming!) drinking a cold glass of iced water or eating an ice lolly or laying down and resting on your back for a short time. If you worry that baby hasn't moved for a while then try these and if still nothing then call your maternity unit - they will have you in for a check - they'll have a little listen to baby's heartbeat with a doppler.
I was back and forth all the time with my son, scared he wasn't moving!!! But he was fine. Its always better to be safe than sorry though.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Right now, I'm so active during the day, I don't feel anything until I finally sit down and relax. If you think something is wrong, try giving the kid a bit of a sugar rush. Drink some juice or eat some candy and sit back and wait. You should be able to feel the baby just fine then.

Hi
Please dont feel that you are worrying too much, I was the same ! It seemed as though my baby moved for like a few days and then just didnt for quite a few weeks after. The midwife in our parenting classes said that if they can sense that you are a bit uneasy, they dont like to move as much, thinking "hang on here, I think mum's a wee bit uptight, I'll give her a rest" But if you are very upset and can't think of anything else, go right tot he midwife as it will make you less stressed. Good luck!
P.S, My baby was more active when I relaxed and lay down, so maybe try that!

I am only 19 weeks along, and barely feel the movements. Baby is still pretty small, and if you are active during the day, chances are you aren't feeling the small movements. As long as you feel something, I wouldn't be too concerned at this point. Best of Luck

The best time to feel the baby move is in the bath. the sound of the water and the light from having no clothes on wakes the baby up. i am sure in a couple of weeks you will feel the baby move all the time do you ever feel like you have butterfly in your tummy that's what it feels like when the baby first moves. try not to worry x

Probably nothing to worry about this early on in your pregnancy. I used to find that I felt most movement in the bath. I used to sit there and relax and start talking to my bump. The baby seemed to respond to that and start wriggling around.

You are pretty early to be feeling movements all the time. The baby is so small and you can feel him/her sometimes. It's totally normal at this stage.
