It saddens me. Boise is getting married: the happiest day in his life. Vick is facing court: a tough day when he'll need support and encouragement. Boise got threats 'cos he's marrying a white girl. Anti-Vick protesters calling for his blood were mainly white. Pro-Vick supporters calling for respect for due process were mainly black. Why does eveything have to be about race? Why can't we just get along? Why the hate?

As for the Boise state marriage, I can't believe people are still so intolerant of an interracial marriage these days. That's their life. It doesn't mean anything to me, and it shouldn't. I hope the have a happy marriage and beautiful caramel colored babies.

As for Mike Vick, I think everyone is jumping the gun. One side is sure he's guilty, the other side is sure he's innocent, but the trial hasn't even started yet. And he pleaded innocent, so why doesn't everyone reserve judgment until all the facts are in? The racial divide between Vick supporters and opposers is just an indication that people are more likely vilify those who are different and defend those who are similar to themselves.

Maybe all his protesters seem to be white because dog-fighting is usually generalized as an activity stereotyped to minorities.

But I don't think race has anything to do with it. Frankly, I think he is a despicable human being. Anyone who tortures another living thing for fun and profit is a monster.

As for this Boise fellow...I have not heard this story...I assume it's a black man marrying a white woman?? WHO FREAKIN CARES??? IT'S 2007 PEOPLE...

Time to open your minds..

I don't care what color Vick is...he is an animal abuser. Who can do that to a poor innocent animal. I own a pit bull, and he is the greatest dog.......not a fighter. Vicks dogs were trained to fight. They didn't train themselves.

As for the other couple, who cares about their color. I sure don't.
