I have a 2006 Chevy Cobalt and I was wondering if i put a hitch on it would it be able to pull my motorcycle without damaging my tranny? My motorcycle weighs 460 pounds.

Also read the total trailer weight in the owners hand book How much does the trailer weigh? People do not buy econo box cars to tow trailers when they should ride the motor cycle to Sturgiss SD. anyway. Yes it will be hard on the ecotech engine and transmission and gas mileage will suffer. Drive a Colbalt 30 mpg or less with trailer or ride a 1200 harley sportster and get 45 mpg?

You can do it, the reason i know is because my friend has a small car as well a honda civic and he has a hitch on it to pull his jetski and it pulls it just fine. He has had the hitch on his car for a few years and has necer had a problem.

Another Harley owner huh? :-) If it can't pull a 460 I'd be very surprised. Ride more, worry less.

i would think the cobalt was barely able to pull itself. get a truck

should be ok, but check with a dealer to see if that voids your warranty.
