Should steroids be legal in Baseball? Since about 40 to 50% of the ball players are using them anyway, should Bonds record be untainted? Is it fair for those who decide NOT to use them? What do you think?

Typically one turns to a guru for wisdom, yet here there is none.

MLB currently prohibits steroids, many specifically and others in classes. If one sees a need to propose a change, a reversal, to this state of affairs, one is obliged to support that proposal.

Testing continues. Some are caught and sanctioned according to the standing agreements on such matters -- Donnie Sadler just a few days ago. But it certainly is nowhere near 40-50%.

JUst because Major League Baseball didn't have a rule against steroids does not make it legal, the drugs he took were illegal according to federal law... The MLB rule book doesn't say anything about murdering anyone either, so if Barry Bonds were to do that would he get off scott free? I've never heard anything about Hank aaron taking speed, so i'm just going to assume you made that crap up... Cheating is Cheating, the record is tainted... 1. Barry Bonds 756* Real #1. Hank Aaron 755

no steroids in any sport, what kind of role model can any player be if they need enhancement drugs to get there. If thats the case most anybody could do it. As far as Barry Bonds goes if he is proven to have used then his record should not stand, but they will never push the issue and he will never admit to it. Bonds has always been about Bonds.

In 10 years, 2017, A-Rod will be the new home run king. A-Rod doesn't use steroids and is one of the home run greats. The problem with steroids is the damage it causes to someone's health. It's like playing Russian Roulette with your life. If steroids becomes legal, plenty of lawsuits will follow.

No. It's c-h-e-a-t-i-n-g. Not fair to the people who don't use them. And even though Bonds obviouslly took steroids but he has never actually been caught so his records should be kept until he is proven guilty of steroid usage...

no. Steroids are illegal. Just because 40 - 50 % of players are taking them, shouldn't and wont change it to be a legal substance.

You know, they should legalize steroids for the Pittsburgh Pirates. They need them more than any other team right now!

if Selig wasnt a p-whipped jackass there would of been no discussion on this matter. Roid King was PROVEN to test positive for Amphetamines last year AND WAS NOT SUSPENDED!

Mcnugget lost his HOF ticket with that p-whip congressional testiomny and Ego Maniac Barry should NOT be allowed in either.
