For those who have an avatar with a human face, have you chosen one with similar features to yourself? What made you choose the avatar you did?

Great Question!
My avatar is making a political statement. It's pretty obvious to me the point that I'm attempting to make. Since it isn't of a person per say. It does have to do with a person. Scooter Libby recently had his conviction in the CIA leak scandal commuted by the president. The reference to him is clearly made (I hope) by the avatar that I chosen to use on Yahoo Answers. The can of Libby's Green Beans on a Vintage Vespa Scooter is a jab at the political atmosphere currently present in the US today. Things aren't always as they appear to be.

The basics are the same, I have almost black hair and my eyes are grey and the hairstyle is almost spot on. I choose my avatar as it was the nearest I can get to what I look like in real life. I like dressing her up, in clothes I would normally never wear. I am a jeans and T-shirt type of girl but in cyberspace my avatar wears really feminine and sexy outfits.
I don't think I am as pretty as my avatar but most people tell me I have a nice and cheerful face, but that's my expression not my looks!

Avatar has similar features to me, although my hair is more black then brown but I don't know how to change the colour lol Though it does look like me quite a lot - funny.

well i did not have a choose.. when i went to avatar site this face is all they would give me.. now the clothes and i added the hat.. but the face is all i could get i would have liked something older looking but i got this one and it Will do

Sad to say, I can't find any avatar that looks like me. Tried my best but they're all just not me.
I posted a caricature of myself which looks like me and now i'm having fun as a viking lol

I made mine as similar as possible. I choose my avatar because it fit my personality and interests.

I never chose my avatar--it just showed up and looks like a young Punk' definitely Not me! [don't know how to change it either]

My avatar looks similar to me only it's nicer. If you look like yours then you are very young looking
