If you are truly an "American" how can you justify the Bush administrations total failure to safeguard the American people or our Consitution, they seem to be nothing more than corporate elitist vampires feeding off the blood of the American people.

Perhaps it is because some people actually want the freedom to work for their livelihoods... they believe that the freedom to succeed also includes the freedom to fail... that anyone can achieve what ever that they set their mind to. They don't like the idea of reaching into someone else's pocket to live. They don't believe that the state owes them or anyone else a living. That freedom and liberty are better than security of a cradle to grave existence without the ability to think freely....

You overlooked the fact that both parties have corporate influence and "elitist" influence in them. Both parties are influenced heavily by Wall Street and both cater to the rich to an extent. The only party that is not controlled by corporations in the Libertarian Party.

The truth is most people just don't follow public affairs very closely. The Republicans have, through constant repetition and a pliant media, gotten themselves associated by a lot of people with simple proposals that most people like: low taxes, personal freedom, strong defense, fiscal responsibility. To understand that they don't actually believe in any of these things, you'd have to follow politics more closely than most people have time or inclination for, so many folks vote for a party that they think shares their values. Proof once again that what you don't know can indeed hurt you.

Not wealthy, but I know one thing. In a capitalist society, the more revenue in the hands of the people creates a bigger economy and thus the likelyhood of a thriving caree for myself. So low taxes = more money in the hands of the people. High taxes=more money in the hands of the government. I vote for the guys who'll let people keep their money and I vote for the guys who'll blow up and kill the bad guys. In the hands of the public, revenues increase, in the hands of the gov't, the value of money decreases.

You're suggesting a myth that the cause of the poor people will be advanced by scummy, rotten Democrats.
The Democrat's system of weath redistribution is against the Constitution you referenced, and championed by Communist-minded Democrats such as Hillary Clinton, in my opinion.
