i'm wifey # 2...
our daughter is 16 months old and my husbands son has a 1 year old (the party) the party is today and i'm not real into going, ive only been in the family 4 years. our 4 year old is "special needs" and i just don't feel like fielding all the questions and putting up with all the "awww" looks we will inevitably get...the party is at their church and there will be lots of people there, kinda a 60 people...

or should i suck it up, i reeeeelly don't wanna go, do i hafta?

i told him to take our 16 month old and go...he got snotty and said he'd go alone...

You married him knowing he had a previous family. You should be a wife and be by his side. So what, you have a special needs child? So do I! I would still go. If the family was around you more maybe they would understand more.

It's hard to mix families.... go and be supportive of your husband though. Just you being there for him in all that he does will help keep your relationship good. (and you asked him to take the 16 month old?) At least babysit for him since you are backing out! My advice.... tell him you don't feel like going, but want to go with him - be a family - do it together.

Let him go alone if you feel uncomfortable.
