The feds can't even take Barry to court because they don't have ANYTHING to charge this man with!!!. I come on this board everyday and find people talking about Bonds taking steroids like is a fact!

McGuire was never caught doing anything illegal. Andro was his dope choice and it was legal at the time.

People can't stand Bonds because he is a jerk. He is self absorbed in his own world. He disrespects just about every reporter, even before the allegation. The guy has no class regardless of color.

Considering that 70% of the population is white I don't think the 90% you quoted is outrageous. If Barry Bonds is telling the truth he does a terrible job at being honest. He comes off as a liar. Typically, whites hate lying and cheating.

Im sorry but race has nothing to with Bonds. Bonds trashed the media long before the thought of the record would be broke by him. In fact i've heard a number of reporters say they have hated Bonds' attitude as far back as college. Thats why the media portrays Bonds the way they do. its because of the fact that he always dogs them. Bonds is a great athlete but has an ugly personality. throughout Bonds' career no one besides a select few has liked Bonds except for the Giant fans. you sound like one of those al sharpton/jesse jackson activist. everytime something happens with a black person you always have to throw in the race card, give it a break. i am a 24 year old black male and i am not blind and do kno that america still has race issues but this is not one of them. and i do kno the difference growing up in a small texas town i've had numerous run ins with it (some which you wouldnt even dream of experiencing). its people like you who are just as bad as a white supremacist because you contribute to the hatred.

McGwire was never caught doing steroids! He did andro, an over the counter suppliment that regular people use to work out. Bonds suddenly blew up to twice his size and his stats. doubled the same way! His head grew to the size of a hot-air baloon! Bonds took the latest 'state of the art' stuff and got more of a boost than anyone from it. He is also a jerk of the highest order even without the steroids. McGwire was a very friendly player who always had time for the fans, etc. If anything, black fans seem to not care what their sports guys do as long as they get their stats! You can see that with continued support of guys like O.J., Vick, Bonds, Kobe, Irvin, Lewis, etc. Bonds even admitted to taking steroids anyway - something you seem to forget. he just gave the lame excuse that he thought it was flax-seed oil. Yeah right!
It's all pretty sickening really!

Bonds has been a jerk his whole career. That's why people don't like him... it has nothing to do with his race. Why do you think people love Jr. Griffey? Because he's not a jerk like Bonds is.

The country (including the media) LOVED Big Mac and Sosa during their home run chase in 1998... black guy AND a white guy... in fact, Sosa (the black guy) got the MVP award that year, despite the fact that it was Big Mac who set the record. (The Cubs did better than the Cardinals that year, that's why Sosa got it).

Wilie Mays? Universally loved. Michael Jordan? The most hyped athlete ever... Tiger Woods? Basically nobody watches golf any more unless he's playing.

The country has no problems with blacks breaking records... they'd just like to see it done legitimately, that's all.

You're the only one out there making this a racial issue... everyone else makes it a jerk issue.

Your comment of 90% of white people hate Barry Bonds, is pathetic, because I know of a lot of white people who like Bonds and a lot of white people who don't like McGwire. Your generalization of white people is no different from peoples generalization of black people. I am not a racist, nor are a lot of people I know, and am very friendly and respectful towards black people. It's pretty damn stupid when I hear people say that white people don't want Bonds to break the record because he's black. Last time I checked, the current homerun king who's record he's about to break is black.

I think bringing race into this argument is completely wrong...it has nothing to do with race and everything to do with the integrity of the game. I will give you innocent until proven guilty but the fact that he already admitted to using a cream with steroids pretty much makes him guilty in my book and quite honestly I don't think that is all he used. However, to bring race into this seems stupid because most people want Hank to keep the record because he did it clean and last time I checked Hank Aaron IS BLACK!!

In my opinion it is the ones like you who bring up race in this discussion that are the racists because most people who want Bonds gone want everyone who used steroids gone from the record books (or atleast an asterisk next to their name)...that includes Canseco, Bonds, Sosa, McGwire, Palmeiro...and the list goes on.

Citizens also should understand just what is illegal about steroidal substances. Under federal law it is illegal, without appropriate licensing or doctor's prescriptions, to manufacture, distribute, traffic, sell, buy, or possess steroids. It is NOT illegal to use them. A fine distinction, yes, but the law often demands such fine distinctions in order to work.

Bonds was not granted immunity against committing perjury -- no one, ever, gets that. And that's what the current (different) grand jury is investigating; but it continues to look like digging a dry well.

Sometimes I wish there was some sort of "brain steroid" that many Y!A posters would use, but knowledge never comes in pill form.

You seem to be making this a race issue. I would look at it as a Major baseball record that has stood the test of time is on the verge of being broken. The MEDIA has made this what it is.Back in the day you didn't have the coverage as we do today...Internet etc....

This is a ridculous stat and im white so you can say im byist but I thought everyone except San Fran hated Barry Bonds, alos mark McGuire wasn't going for 755 home runs so it wasnt that big of a deal, alos this is just anyother thing you can blame on race, its ridiculous, just like when steve nash won MVP shaq blamed it on race, The duke lacrosse trial Jesse Jackson took the side of the black stripper, and it was all made up, stop falling back on race, Barry Bonds' home runs are tainted and people of all race know that.
