and the beautiful world around us, that this "God" was not aware of itself. In other words...until we existed, this "God" was in a void of voidness...unaware, unloved, and...Cranky...irritated by getting woke up after an eternity by our profound live-and-death struggles and crys of complaint...?!?

A "void of voidness"??
You ought to try your hand at poetry.
But I think you have mixed up the story a bit.
God created us...for His pleasure, I believe it says somewhere.
Myself, I think He's raising Himself a family.
It got too lonely for Him in the "void of voidness"...

(Just thought I'd let you know, Hun...I've been praying for you.
You're too blessed intelligent, and too blessed witty to be lost to us for eternity!)
((Even if you are a dumb ol' atheist))

Tee hee... well no. God is all-knowing. So He(/She/It) always knew He (she/it) existed. Not created, always was, always is, formless...like a big old ball of energy that created us in its image (little bundles of energy). But they paint him as an old man with a beard so that we can relate to "it." Hard for us to grasp concepts like First Cause, eternity & whatnot. God the Father is something people can understand. I think a lot of the Bible was in parable form to make it more comprehensible for the people of the time.

So you are an atheist, or agnostic but willing to consider "what if"...even if you consider it a big if...? That's pretty cool.

Anyway, it doesn't matter what you believe, He/She/It won't hold it against you. Unless you're going around torturing people and then you're pretty much screwed and going to Hell. But if you're a good person and live a good life, I think there will be some real estate in Heaven for your disbelieving soul...

:)
Peace out,

well, if one is unaware, you wouldnt be aware that you had been asleep, so how could you be cranky at getting woke up?
but anyway, in my concepts of God, we are all a part of God, though individual, as in we are a part of our parents, so there wouldnt be a time of unawareness

If it takes ME to think about the god for the god to come into existence, then really I created HIM and that would actually make ME the god..... and I'm not a god... so it just can't be...

My answer is "no."

For example, when scientists discover a new species that inhabits the very depths of the ocean, didn't those creatures exist before we first saw them?

It's human vanity that suggests our cognizance of something is the only thing that validates it. And no, I'm not chastising you -- you're too lovable for that. :-)
