Barry Bonds hit 40 HR's 3 times in 15 years until 2000 where he hit over 40 HR's 5 years in a row, with 73 in 2001.
Black people want to make excuses for Bonds like he still has to hit the ball. When you are juiced, you have the energy and let's face it, Bonds either has a personality disorder or he's just an ***.
Anyway you look at it, black america is in denial if they don't think this dude took illegal enhancments.
Bonds is a tarnish on the game, he's not the true HR hitter that Aaron was. And a tarnish for the black community. It shows that cheating is ok and black america will turn their head the other way.
I'm hoping that the truth will get out and Bonds is exposed for the fraud he is. He is a shameful man.

Just to clarify, the divide of opinion is on the news where 74% of blacks are for Bonds, while 28% of white people are.
Yet 73% of all respondents believe he is, was juiced.
And to those nads who brought up McGwire: He is in the SAME boat. White America DOES NOT MAKE EXCUSES FOR WHITE ATHLETES LIKE BLACKS DO.

Let's face facts: Bonds is so egotistical he took steroids. To never hit over 46 homers in 15 years, which is WAY past prime. So that mean that at 37 years of age, he improved so much and averaged 31 HR's a year, THEN when from 38 years to 41 years old he averages 51.....yeah, MOST athletes get better when then hit their 40's huh?

Same reason they are overlooking the Michael Vick dog fighting issue.
Because he's black.
Or it's the white man's fault that he was doing it or some kind of crap like that.
You know, the usual crutch that has been used for years.
It's the white mans fault why I robbed a store or it's the white mans fault that I can't get a job or it's the white man's fault I get a check every month.
Yada Yada Yada.

This is a loaded question. Certainly, that is a gross generalization -- blacks don't. It is a statistical fact, however, that blacks are more likely than whites to overlook Bonds' steroid use.
I am not African-American, but I think the reason is the same one that led many African-Americans to celebrate the aquital of the clearly guilty OJ. It has nothing to do with what the perptrator did, it is the fact that "he got away with it."
Rightly or wrongly, there is a sentiment among many African-Americans that whites get away crimes that they themselves do not. Therefore, whenever an African American uses his money and power in American society to escape justice, they are celebrated as a hero who "beat the white man's system" in the same so many whites do all the time.
I don't think it really matters to these people what the individual did -- just that he got away with it. While I have my own feelings about this perspective, since I am not African-American I try not pass judgment on those whose shoes I'm not in.

Anyone can make any argument they want using numbers and this is how I see it. Not counting the year 2005 when Bonds was injured all year and hit 5 homeruns, he has hit between 24 and 49 homeruns in 17 of his 20 years in MLB. His other three seasons he hit 16, 20, and 73. unless you are just trying to say he only took steroids the one year when he hit 73 homeruns, I don't understand your argument. Bonds has been a model of consistency his entire career. Drug testing was implemented in 2001 and although results from that testing are not published, it is estimated Bonds has been tested more than (50) times, including in the off season, and he has never tested positive for any of the (53) banned drugs identified in the program. Bonds has continued to hit homeruns at a consistent pace during the six years when testing has been in place. There are many blacks as well as whites that believe he should be given credit for an unbelievable career placing him at, or near, the top of any player that has ever played the game, and I am one of them.

The same reason they thought when OJ was found not guilty and decided it was a big party and start some riots.
IDIOTS who can see BLACK and WHITE.
There is no gray area.
I am 35 and would I love to put on about 20 lbs of muscle with straight hard work. For Christ sakes, the guys head size even grew and I am not just talking about his ego either.
Needless to say, anytime a black mans integrity is in question, the fellow brothers will always back up each other and always say the white man is working on keeping em down again.
Bottom line is this..........
Get an EDUCATION!
Maybe you'll see past color!

Why do White people overlook Mark McGwuire's steroid use? Not only did everyone suspect it, but he was caught with the "juice" in his locker. Ok so what he was using was legal in baseball, BUT he was still juiced and still cheated. No one seemed to care though. He is a tarnish on the game. He isn't the homerun hitter that Roger Maris was and his record never should have counted. It shows that cheating is ok and AMERICA will turn their head the other way(NO ONE was calling him out, white or black, except a few reporters who were basically told shut up by everyone).

Although McGwire has never addmitted to, or been proven guilty of any steroids use, many of his accomplishments, particularly his record breaking home run surge late in his career, have come into question due to his connection to the steroid scandal plaguing Major League Baseball. After an article written by Associated Press writer Steve Wilstein, McGwire admitted to taking androstenedione, a legal, over-the-counter muscle enhancement product, banned by the NFL and IOC.
After repeated denials of performance enhancing substances McGwire, Jose Canseco, five other baseball players, and four baseball executives were subpoenaed to testify at a congressional hearing on steroids. There on March 17, 2005 he declined to answer questions under oath when he appeared before the House Government Reform Committee.
In a tearful opening statement McGwire said,
“ Asking me or any other player to answer questions about who took steroids in front of television cameras will not solve the problem. If a player answers 'No,' he simply will not be believed; if he answers 'Yes,' he risks public scorn and endless government investigations." During the hearing, McGwire repeatedly responded to questions regarding his own steroid use with the line, "I'm not here to talk about the past... My lawyers have advised me that I cannot answer these questions without jeopardizing my friends, my family, and myself. ”
When asked if he was asserting his Fifth Amendment right not to incriminate himself, McGwire once again responded:
“ I'm not here to talk about the past. I'm here to be positive about this subject."

I don't believe most blacks believe Bonds didn't take steroids. It's just that radical blacks are much more vocal in their support than most blacks are in their condemnation. If a black guy comes out and says, "Bonds is a big, fat steroid-head" - the radicals will start calling him a 'Tom' and stuff like that, so the mainstream black just stays silent about it.

The race card can only be play one way. Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't a court somewhere declare that there is no such thing as reversed discrimination?

Because we know that steroid use is widespread in sports. If we judge Bonds we have to judge everyone else in all sports. The question should be: Why do we invest so much of our lives in something as trivial as sports that we have to resort to racism every time? There is so much more to life. Sorry you are missing out on the rest of it. Shame on you!

Im not saying he is guilty or innocent of using stteroids. But maybe your a-s-s should get evvery black persons opinion be4 you conclude that black people are trying to deffend Bonds. I dont give s-h-i-t if he did but dont make this a thing about race and dont judge a person on something thats not a a proven fact. You are bassing your opinion on some1 based on someone elses opinion on bonds.
