Left out is only part of it, but a big part. She'll also feel inadequate -- she feels there's something wrong with her that you prefer your hand to her when she's right there. And hurt that you're just ignoring her and doing your own thing. I've had it happen, and it's pretty devastating -- really did a job on the relationship.
