You can't do anything with chem and physics????? You either want to study hard science and work in the field or you don't. If you want to do something with it then get it together and figure out the vein of science your interested in an plan your career towards that path. Yes your going to have to do at least a Masters and really a Phd /MD if you want an incredible job working in the field but there are very good positions out there for people with skill sets. If you just aren't into it for whatever reason (mom and dad want MD????) then maybe go to half time get a job and explore a little into the various programs and classes at your university. You need to really figure or at least come up with a plan that allow you the best ending/starting place from when you graduate so that you can either get a job or continue your education or both in whatever order you want to do them. The other thing I'd suggest is maybe obtaining a substanial background in tech, with hard sci and tech background you could easy get a job out of school (my husband did a neuro-bio major after school ended up picking up some decent tech skills which led to a position working for a pharma co doing project management in an IS dept supporting R&D. His background in hard science allowed him to be able to understand the chemists and biologists and their needs for information solutions.)

You are welcome to apply for any scholarships which might be available at your school, but the likelihood of your getting a scholarship unless you are one of the very best students there is not too great. If you aren't even enjoying it, I would hate to advise you to take money away from someone who really wants to be there. You say you don't want to destroy your academic life by taking a job, but you also say that you aren't enjoying your academic life. I'm a little confused about what would be destroyed.
