Neither 'explains' life.
Evolution as a theory shows how living things can evolve and is backed up by much evidence.
Creationism is born from primitive belief systems, many of which claim the 'truth' as their own; some more aggressively/insecurely than others.
These myths include but are not limited to:

evolution does exist because we can see from old fossil records etc that animals chnage over time, so evolution must exist. more difficult to argue is where these animals came from. Were they created by a god and have since evolved or did they evolve from a tiny single celled organism? and if so where did that single celled organism come from? it had to start somewhere, but where i don't know?
Personally i think it is all evolution but the gaps in knowledge makes it impossible to say the creationism theory is wrong

A combination of both.
God is Life! God created everything! Evolution is God's gift for all living things: animals, minerals, vegetables, solar system, etcetra is included. It's a universal equal opportunity surprise package!

To me, the most logical and credible explanation is BOTH. As an actual Christian, MY God is intelligent enough, as well as being omniscient and omnipotent, to have created the (very obvious) evolutionary process right along with the rest of the universe.
Too bad about the more LIMITED "god" of the "Religious" Radical Right's **pseudo**-Christians. (LOL!!)

Neither, they both require you to believe in the impossible.
It's likely that one of them is true but I'm not about to waste my life trying to figure out which one.
Just live life and enjoy it the best you can without hurting others, or trying to force your own beliefs on them.
