The key is to become a conversationalist. You don't have to be a scintillating one though, just engage in a conversation whenever there's a chance. Take the initiative, and it is best to open up a conversation with what is obvious. You can start with the weather, or any situation that you and your prospect had just gone into, and don't try to impress, and don't think of the consequences of making a mistake. Be natural.

Eventually, if you continue to do this, you'll see that you'll suddenly become the 'people-oriented' person that you aim for.

Your question is confusing but one thing is sure your half problem is solved.

Do you know why? because, when a person decided to do something that is a first step and in most cases people do not take that step but you did.

Just be yourself and add talking about casual things into that. Find people with the same interest as you do. Hope this helps.
