There is no reason to tell your spouse about an affair.
We can go on forever about how wrong it is, and we all know it is wrong. But, once it's done, to tell your spouse about it is simply a huge act of stupidity.
What do you gain by sharing your infidelity?
You have made you spouse feel like crap so you can walk around with a clear conscious. That's the extent of it. Plain and simple. What a self-centered egotistical act!

I have not had an affair - but my guy did. and yes we are still together. there was alot of wierd stuff going on - people (well his father actually) playing games with his head and telling lies. his dad has come on to and successfully slept with his other girlfriends - I told him he was a sick pervert who needed help and that I was telling my bf what he said - before I could, he told my guy that I was cheating on him - that he had caught me and the best thing to do would be to leave without saying a word. well he did not leave - he went out and found a couple of girls instead - and then came home to tell me about it. I told him my side and he did not believe me - until I played the messages his father had left and the letter he had written me. we worked things out and are still together today....

i could never have an affair... it would eat me up inside..
some people say the eyes are the door to your soul.. in my case its very true, i'm not deceptive enough to carry on like that.
I've been accused of having an affair with a mates girlfriend before and also a mates wife.. neither time i did nothing.
although the married woman did offer me it on a plate, but then made out later when she had a row that i had done something with her.. me i think thats low and sly.
i'm not married.. but i'd have to hold myself back IF i found out my girlfriend was cheating on me.

my husband was the one who had the affair with the married woman. I asked him to leave us alone so he can be with this married woman. But because I gave him my blessing to go away, now he wants to stick around with us even he knows that I don't love him and my kids don't respect him anymore,.....so go figure...

I did when I was married. I was an idiot and although I initiated the divorce if there is anything I could go back in my life and change was that.

im never even have bf but i can say with certain that i will never have affair. i know all situation is different so i not judge but for me i would not do like that no matter what! if you have troble in your relation theres other way to resolve.

No never did, and would not,..... was married for 30 years. I stuck by my words he did not.
