Two Unreleased photographs

Number 1 . This is the patio entrance to the Flat and the paved Garden area below. Remember these flats are effectively built back to front so if you were stood on that Patio you would be looking over the hedges and walls towards the Ocean Club complex. So the paved garden area in the photograh is the TRUE back garden for the apartment.

That gate to the right below the steps leads onto the steet.

Number 2 . This is looking at the side of the flat, the arch on the left can also be seen in the first photograph and is where the patio area is. Then there are three windows along the side. The line of trees running up the road enclose the parking lot behind Madelein's bedroom window and front door to the apartment.

I think this photograph shows how exposed and isolated that ground floor flat 5A actually is.

Stephen, the Tapas bar would be far out of the left of the picture, beyond the trees etc. In the very left of the picture you can see the arch next to the window of the room that Madeleine was sleeping in. To get to the Tapas bar, the McCans had to leave the gate in the first photo, turn right out of it,(they would now be OUTSIDE of the resort) walk along the road, turn left up an allyway, past the pool. There has never been ANY photographs of the view from the Tapas bar, they just are not allowed, which speaks volumes.

allyway leading from outside the resort, back into resort to Tapas bar. where McCanns would walk. The walls are 7 feet high.

Strange- No Pro-McCanns commenting on the photos? No comments on the size of that wall? Or the walk to the Tapas bar?

mshighwater, I dont understand? How can the photos only represent what I want them to? The photos are genuine and speak for themselves? Can you not SEE the 7 foot wall? Can you not SEE the route to the Tapas bar? Can you not SEE that in order for the distance to be the amount the McCanns claim it to be, they would have to have been able to walk in a straight line from the apartment to the bar, ACROSS the pool? I know Gerry seems to think he is God, but unless the waters "part" for him, its just not possible!

I feel you are running out of lines of defence for this family, your reply to this question is nonsense.

And these two clever doctors - one a consultant no less left three babies alone. Beggars belief. And they have the cheek to jet around the world saying in the UK we all carry on like this. The sooner these two are questionned the better. No decent loving right minded parent would dare leave their babies alone here. Any Pro McCann supporter who says otherwise - I suggest you check into the doctors tomorrow first thing and book your self a check up from the neck up. I just hope you don't get on the McCanns waiting list as I think you need help pretty quickly.

I see I have got a thumbs down. Well I pity your poor kids if you think its ok to go out and leave them alone. Poor little mites. Or may be you aren't a parent yourself, in which case you are speaking not from experience of ever loving your own child.

Jesus H Christ!! (apologies in advance - but it could have been much worse)! I didn't really appreciate just how far away the tapas bar was from the apartment. And these two supposedly intelligent people left their kids in an unlocked, ground floor room - and then have the gall to say "it was within the bounds of responsible parenting". Maybe now one of our "esteemed" newspapers will pick this story up and run with it WITHOUT the blinkers.

Hi BDG

Is this the view from the Tappas Bar, if not, where is the bar in relation to the second photo.

Hi again BDG

Thanks, I get the picture (so to speak).

I have never really got involved in this subject with any great knowledge. I just went along with the media created assumption that the Mcthingeymebobs could see the apartment from the bar.

Makes you wonder when you see the real layout dont it?

cheers

I can recall even now as a child of 5 yrs old......waking up to find that the mother that was there when I fell asleep was no longer there. I woke alone, to an empty house where before I'd fallen asleep, was filled with my mother, her 2nd husband & a few friends.
I was terrified to say the least.
I don't have a clue how long I was alone before my mother & hangers on returned. All I know is the fear I felt & the irrational feeling that I'd never see my mother again.
When she finally returned, I was still crying & still afraid....of what, I don't know, but a child of that age doesn't need a reason. Just the fact that her mother & father are not there.

Fortunately it was the social services that finally (a couple of years later) came with police in the dead of night & took my brother & myself.....where we were rightly placed in care. In need of care & protection......not someone taking us off intent on doing harm.

Great posting and I see only mshighwater has made a token attempt to be pro-McCann here.

mshighwater - what would it take for you to consider that parents neglected a child? On what sort of moral compass do you operate if you think what they did was ok? I hope to God you're not a mother.

Well, there's only your word that the photos represent what you describe. What's your qualification?

I'm not sure I see quite what you're driving at. Exposure and isolation are not the words that spring especially to my mind when viewing these images - but then, my mindset is different from yours and I am not looking for that while, clearly, you are.

Photos could never show the entire picture, anyway. The apartment was not a huge distance from the tapas bar; it appears that the practice of leaving kids sleeping in the apartment while going elsewhere in the complex was not unprecedented (by which I mean other families than the McCanns did it); and the McCann's assessment of the situation was that it was safe to do what they did. No photo will ever contain all the information that they took into account in making that choice. However, we need no other information than the fact that Madeleine was abducted to demonstrate that their assessment was wrong. What purpose is served by trying to flog this particular dead horse?

You can analyse the scene of the crime, others can report how close they were sitting to the flat, yet more will testify to other aspects of this case.

And yet... and yet, three VERY young children were left alone by their parents, not any regular parents though, these two are Doctors for crying out loud... people in whose hands we place our lives. Those children didn't have the choice, their lives were already in the hands of their parents.

And all the while, a little girl is crying out for her mummy and daddy - and they were the ones who let her down...

WOW that last picture is shocking - i hope all the pro's see that one! hardly "a stone throw away" or "a few yards away" or "like eating in your garden (unless you have a bloody HUGE garden and eat at the very end of it!)"

thanks for the pics!

It beggers belief. Shame on the McCanns and yet they are still lying and trying to worm their way out of any blame.
