it becomes nothingness.if you have nothing it does not have a finite shape therefore it can not have a boundry.(so the theory goes.)

Yes and no is the answer to your question.
No scientist (worth his salt) has ever said that the universe is infinite. It's not. Thnk about it - it's already been demonstrated that the universe is continually expanding, so therefore something that is bigger today than it was yesterday can not therefore be considered infinite.
So, in one respect, space does come to an end in that it does not go on forever. But the way in which space and time curves means that no being within it could ever reach the edge, you'd always end up back where you started. So, to all intents and purposes we could say that it never ends.

If space is described as a subtance which holds all mass into an integral architecture,Then it must have volume. If this is the case that the volume must exist as having boundary.
The boundary would be where the geometrical containment exists. The structure of space is phenomenal. WE cannot see beyound Galactic structures, but it must be bigger than when think.
The Universe consists of both space structure and mass structure as indicated in the Biblical record of Creation. The Universe as a containment was created into existance somewhere in a location of the Heaven of Our Creator's domain. Hence, the substance of space and its structure was the foundation where all mass structure stands. This was outlined In the description of Creation.
Therefore; The outsirts of the Universe is where its containment ends.

Yes, current thinking is that it is finite, although mind bogglingly big! The edge of the observable universe is just under 15 billion light years away. As a light year is the distance light travels in a year, the light from here set out 15 billion light years ago, shortly after the big bang, when the first stars began to shine. (N.B. light travels at 300 000 km/s). This makes it a very long way away!

Outer space? No one has figured that out yet. The furthest object that scientists have managed to detect is 15 billion light years away. That means that it would take 15 billion years to reach traveling at 186,000 miles per second.

Space doesn't end because true space is NOTHINGNESS.
What we see as space contains objects and particles and there may or may not be a limit to that.

I suppose space ends at atmosphere. Don't think of space as something and wonder where it is, but see it as nothing, and wonder what's in it.

there is no right or wrong answer to this question. but i feel if we where meant to no the answer then we would. as there are things we are no meant to no. as someone that has a faith (christian) i feel that i will no the answer when i die not before.as if i new the answer to that i would no what god knows and then that would make me god like and our minds are not capable of knowing such information. we only no a small amount of information about such things as our tiny brains will not make sense of it and would upset us and we will not be able to live our life the way we do if we had that information. so i guess the answer to your question is you will have to wait till you pass over after you die. but i think you will only no if you have a faith. as god will show you all the answers.

Beeonny1 got it about right. The universe is NOT infinite, it had a beginning, and it has a boundary (end). The universe is about 13.8 billion years old.
