It's best if your urine is a pale yellow. When you drink too much water your urine is white-ish, and may indicate over-hydration. When your urine is dark yellow it means that you haven't been drinking enough water, and you may be dehaydrated.

Your urine is the excritement of liquid wastes and wastes that are really small (excess vitamins, etc.). When you have too much water in your system you could very well have other problems throughout your body because of it, as well as excess urine. When you have too little water in your system there isn't enough liquid to get the remaining toxins out.

Yes it most definitely can. You should drink at least 4 litres of water a day and leave off drinking alcohol, this causes dehydration. I start each an every day with a large glass/mug of boiled cooled water this will help flush out any toxins that are lurking in your kidneys and bladder. (It also helps with weight control) Have two drinks at breakfast, two at lunch and two with you evening meal and then if possible have a drink every hour and you should reach your daily amount. Oh and buy some cranberry tablets and take one daily. Hope this info is of some help and the infection clears up soon. Get that tap turned on NOW.

Basically the yellow is the toxins being flushed out of your body. White just means the toxins are highly diluted. If your urine is very dark, and has a bad odor, it is quite possible you are becoming dehydrated. Unusual-colored urine (black, dark orange, or brown, for example) can be a sign of serious medical problems. Some other colors could be the result from pigments in the diet.

For most people it is better if your urine is a lighter or clearer colour.

Darker urine signifies dehydration. In dehydration, your kidneys would be trying to conserve water. They would make more concentrated urine where there is a greater concentration of the urinary nitrogenous wastes and this gives the urine a darker colour.

your urine should be more like the color of lemonade and less like the color of apple juice. If your urine is clear it means you are flushing out too many electolytes from your system which can cause health problems if done over a long period of time.

It is better for your urine to be closer to clear than bright yellow. It means you are getting enough liquids and are adequately hydrated. I am sure there is a more scientific reason for the color change but I am not sure what it is.

The lighter the urine color, the better. It means you are not dehydrated, or over working your kidneys. A nurse once said, you want lemonade, not ice tea ( as color of urine)
