Should there be a fairness doctrine for our public colleges?

Wouldn't that make more sense then one on talk radio?..if you don't like what you hear on radio you can simply change the channel...but we pay tuition and have no choice when our kids are being indoctrinated.

hoo....I'm talking about kids who are in a class that they need and instead of being taught say...science..they have to listen to someone like Ward Churchhill and his hate message about our country, president, whatever..If I'm paying the bill...I expect my kid to be taught SCIENCE!!!....leave the pc crap..if you want to share your political views go on talk radio so I can just change the channel....but don't cram that crap down my kids throat on MY DIME!...did I explain well enough??

averagebear....fair enough, but what if the kid is in a class they need for their degree??...to challange the professor is probably going to land them a lower grade...you just don't make the professor look stupid and expect to be rewarded...most just keep their mouths shut and try to get through the class....ON MY DIME!!!...really frosts me.

You make an excellent point. I don't give stars often, but gave one to you. Besides the fact that the vast majority of college instructors are Liberal, colleges can (and do) bring in the most rabid socialists to speak on campus and nobody even blinks. But just try to bring in a famous Conservative and you'll have every type of protest and outright demands to have the person dis-invited imaginable.

I think if schools really start polarizing (which would help) then we can start singling out the liberal schools and vote with our dollars.

Public education is a whole different ball game because this is homeowner taxdollars which is funding YOUR LOCAL SCHOOL. Most people dont have a choice where they can send their kid for public school. If you dont like it, you have to pay for private which many cant afford.

There needs to be a serious overhaul of the curriculem starting with the admission that evolution is atheistic philosophy pure and simple most of the way its being taught now. They need to take out any material that fails to educate on the theory of evolution. There is just pure garbage being put out these days that just ASSUME evolution and doesnt bother to explore, teach, or examine it.

And if atheists want the status quo assumptions, then we need to move it ALL including religious and Biblical studies into a philosophy class where students can study BOTH and decide.

Currently, public schools are just atheistic training camps and its because our teachers as well as our courts have too many liberals that are too eager to brush aside God.

I agree with you about the colleges

but I have told my 3 grown children that a college professor and a homeless drug addict are equal and should be treated justly

if you need advice from either one ,,,ask your question and don't listen to the other crap that will spew from their mouth,,

hopefully all they would need from the addict is directions how to get out of that part of town

from the professor,,what answer will cause me to pass your test

Isn't it odd that Liberals flock to certain professions such as acting, comedy, and teaching? But overwhelmingly, Liberals hold these positions.

I don't remember if I told this story, but I had a young, Irish Communist teacher in college. He was friendly, but he kept talking about the flaws in the American system and the virtues of Communism. Since our class met in a cozy little meeting room in the library, we felt more relaxed probably than the average students. We weren't going to just listen to his Communist nonsense. Instead, we seemed ready to challenge him at every turn.

Over the course of the semester, it was like chipping away at a glacier. Every time he would make some point about the advantages of Communism, we'd counter with three reasons why Capitalism was better. Slowly, he became less sure of himself. He lost all pretense of being the swaggering, strident Communist he was at the beginning of the semester.

The coup d' gras was when around the end of the semester, he was responding to one of our challenges, his face had a quizzical look on it, and he stopped speaking in mid sentence. He looked at us and said, "You know, I never would have believed this, but I think I'm starting to agree with you. Maybe Communism isn't so good after all."

Wouldn't it be great to have similar stories like this all over the U.S.? Maybe some brave students can teach their professors a few things!

This is what is supposed to happen: College students are not children, so there should be no mommies in the picture. They should be critical thinkers with their own opinions. When they disagree with a professor, they should challenge him and debate him on an intellectual level. However, this does not happen in college anymore. Today's college students are not mature and are more vulnerable to indoctrination due to years of watching TV - that is the problem. So yes, I agree college students need more "protection", not because professors are evil, but because students are too much like children. But then if we "protect" them, when will they ever think on their own?

No,education should be based on facts,science and reality not any political ideology.
Giving schools up to pseudo scientists like the anti global warming crowd and intelligent design advocates would ruin American colleges.

It will also never happen because unlike the conservative masses the top do realize that good higher education is needed to stay competitive in the global knowledge based economy.In other words the top conservatives know that giving higher education up to ideologists of the right and Christian extremists would cost them money.They will never let that happen.

Let us take a quick look at the history of the vile liberal moral/ethical teachings students will encounter.

1.In the mid 1800s,liberals had created a world wide Abolitionist movement to end slavery.Standing firmly against ending of the ANTI-CHRISTIAN slavery were of course the CONSERVATIVES who always putting money/profit first actually in this case caused a Civil War .

2.In the late 18002/early 1900s,liberals seeing the thousands of workers being slaughtered in the mines and factories of the CONSERVATIVE ROBBER BARONS started a movement demanding all levels of government enact laws to protect workers in the workplace.

Again it was the money grubbing conservatives WHO FOUGHT the en-actment of these laws which thank God they eventually lost.

3.In the horrors of the depression,liberals realized that Americans needed protection in their retirement years and campaigned for what today is Social Security.

Yes,you guessed it !!! Again the money grubbing morally/ethically bankrupted ANTI-Christian moral/etical code CONSERVATIVES fought the en-actment of Social Securiyu but again THANK GOD,LOST.

4.Some years later the LIBERALS ,believing in Christ's dictate to look after each other, fought fpr MEDICARE for the poor and elderly .

RIGHT AGAIN !!! It was the CONSERVATIVES sucking up to the wealthy corporations/individuals who fought Medicare all the way .


5.After having lost the Civil War ,the CONSERVATIVE SOUTH embodied by the powerful CONSERVATIVE Southern Baptist Convention ,refused to accept defeat and merely resurrected the vile ANTI-CHRISTIAN slavery practise un-officially by enacting a slew of ANT-BLACK laws called JIM CROW.

These lovely Christian CONSERVATIVES realized that they needed an "enforcement " arm so created that enforcement arm and called it the KKK.The KKK of course was/is nothing but a TERRORIST organization that TERRORIZED BLACKS by RAPING THEM,LYNCHING THEM,TORTURING THEM etc etc etc.

These are your CONSERVATIVES and these are their filthy vile immoral/un-ethical anti-Christian beliefs.

After almost two hundred years ,the US Supreme Court at last found it's copy of the US Bill OF Rights and began ensurring that ALL Americans were equal.

With Martin Luther King leading the way ,the LIBERAL civil rights movement remembering their Christian moral/ethical code began and right from the start the filthy conservatives,especially the vile hypocritical CONSERVATIVE anti-Christian Christian Fundamentalists with their police dogs,guns,trungeons etc,fought the civil rights movement and the end of un-official slavery in the South .

These thoroughly repulsive CONSERVATIVES thank God LOST their vile opposition and the Bill of Rights was now applied to ALL Americans as originally intended.

In the here and now,liberals following the dictates and the philosophy of Judeo-Christian moral/etical code care fighting again for a number of causes/issues and yes,the filthy money grubbing anti-Christian conservatives are fightin g us all the way.

ALL western democracies have UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE which is based upon the moral that health care shoulf never depend on a person's bank balance but must be available to all irregardless of income.

ONY the US ,the richest country in the world REFUSES to extent health care to all citizens and have NO moral problem with 47 MILLION of it's citizens having no health care and another 30 MILLION with in adequate health care.

And this is again the monumentally hypocritical nation that
tells the entire world what a caring CHRISTIAN NATION THEY ARE.

It is of course the CONSERVATIVES along with their money/profit grubbing friends that have and continue to fight giving health care to ALL Americans,

As evidenced by this and the list and thousands of other examples,CONSERVATIVES are the MORALLY/ETHICALLY bankrupted group in America and liberals long history attests fully to them being the much more MORAL/ETHICAL group.

So my ignorant conservative ,I desperately need my children to be FULLY EXPOSED TO THE MORALLY and ETHICALLY SOUND liberal ideology and desperately need to make sure my children are not infected by that ebola virus called CONSERVATISM.
