**** NO! It`s already been banned from restaurants, public buildings, bars...and ya can`t smoke within 25 feet of any of those things....can`t smoke in most hotels, either...
I`m not endangering anyone by smoking in my damn car. I light it up while i`m waiting at a red light, and i know where the **** my ashtray is and don`t need to take my eyes off the damn road!

No; your car is your personal property. Next they will be banning smoking in your own home. I don't smoke anymore and I am all for banning it in public places but your car is not a public place. Now it should be banned in company vehicles, taxis etc. because these vehicles are used by other people and are therefore public areas.

Please don't ban smoking in cars....If you keep banning places for people to smoke..all the smokers of the world will just stay home and veg out and light one up.

Our town banned smoking in most all of the "public" buildings. Including a lot of restaurants...now...they are mostly struggling to keep their heads above water because all the smokers quit going there.

Allow smokers to light up in their car...it's their right.

If you're speaking of personally owned cars, then no, there should be nothing banned when we are in our own personal property or space.
As to cabs, rental cars, and such, then I think that it should be regulated by whoemever controls the establishment that owns the vehicle.
If anyone ever tries to tell me that I can't smoke in my own car, then I might just have to get a tad vocal with them.

Yes Smoking while driving a car or static should be banned,. It is injurious to health. It is a vehicle having petrol in it and anything connected to smoke or fire is not good and advisable. from health point of view and for safety it is not at all good.

No. There is no reason for that waht so ever. It is my car and I can smoke in it if I want to. Next someone will try to say we can't smoke in our own homes. Where will it end?
