There are a few programs that will download a YouTube video, most of them are browser specific, and I do not know what browser you are using, so the best thing for you to do is go to a site like http://javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php which will download the video for you.
Then you will need a .flv viewer. I recommend downloading the codecs at K-Lite Codec Pack at http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm
Codecs are necessary for viewing many media files. This pack will enable you to view about 98% of them and it includes a great viewer which will enable you to play DVDs, avis, flvs, mpgs, mp3s, lot of things. All free.

Download realplayer FREE from here
http://uk.real.com/player/more
once installed go to a video on youtube that you want to download and start to play it.
while playing it move your mouse arrow over the video and a download button will appear above the video.
Click on the download button and it will download it to your computer. It will usually be saved in your videos folder under a folder called real player downloads, or just right-click on the file thats downloading in the download box that comes up and click "locate file on disk"
hope this helps

I don't think that's possible but there is another way but you have to have an account. First go to the video that you want to save, then under it should say share video click on it and put your email address. Once your done emailing it to yourself check your inbox and just save the video to your computer. Hope this helped.

I recommend downloading hypercam 2 at http://www.hyperionics.com/hc/index.asp and running the recorder while watching the video.
Yep, that bad. Irritating, huh?
