Montesorri is popular and has been for ages. However the schoolchildren of the 90's swear by the effectiveness of Kumon.

Kumon. I enroled my daughter in Kumon lessons and it is amazing how well she performed in classes as a result. I
I will not even go to the extent of examining or comparing methods, I only go by results.

Kumon, because they have a different way of teaching that is more creative than the usual. And a lot of my friends who have kids swear that their kids have been doing much better at school after they tried the program.

the real montessori concept(or the actual franchise)has never caught on in philippine setting. as to kumon, they just give you activity sheets for your child to answer to increase his language and math skills.**
montessori would be a better alternative because kids learn in a more practical way and encourages reasoning skills. the kumon utilizes memorization and constant repitition to problem solving such that it becomes automatic to a kids mind.**

i went to day care prep and learned to hold on to my faith. my children all went to uccp kinder school.
now that montesorri nd kumn have established their presence in our place, i'd prefer my grandchildren to be at montesorri for nursery and kumon for the 2 years of pre-school learnings.

Definitely Kumon.
Kumon is not just about learning Math or Reading. It's also about learning life skills like GOOD STUDY HABITS, SELF-LEARNING ABILITY, FOCUS AND CONCENTRATION.
