YES it will work BUT the faster GPUs will be bottlenecked or slowed down by the 4X AGP slot. Budget 8x AGP cards (w/ 4 pixel pipelines) should work out fine.

Nope. A 4x will work in a 8x slot, but not the other way around. The slot must always be equal or bigger than the card. :)

it will but you wont experience 8x performance, get a 4x card or a PCI graphic card

definitely works but,with less efficiency.go for nvidia 8800 with latest intel chip set will give u ultimate performance
