Not necessarily. Spyware does not have the capability to do such things. If someone has hacked your computer and is using some form of remote access software, then you would see such things, but most likely, this is not the case. If you have a laser mouse, try cleaning it or replacing it and that should take care of the problem. If your mouse is wireless, you will see this happen when the batteries are low or the mouse is having comunication issues. Even a mouse with a cord could be having breaks in communication due to a faulty cable or port. As the computer looses and re-establishes communication with the mouse, you will see the mouse pointer moving without you touching it. However, let's not rule out the possibility that your house is haunted, woooo....

Umm...thats really freaky. I hope you arent referring to the mouse on your mouse pad. You are probably talking about your cursor? Mice are sensitive. Slight vibrations can cause a mouse to move a little causing your cursor to move. Also, a dirty trackball can cause it to move. NOW, if your cursor is moving across the screen and clicking on stuff, turn your computer of immediately, disconnect all wires from the wall, and go to church. No really, disconnect everything for a while, hook it back up, get some intrusion/firewall software like Norton Internet Security 2007 and be happy once again.

No, your pet cat is probably stalking the mouse, so it's trying to hide in the corner of your screen monitor. Either that or your mouse pad is slippery due to being worn out or dirt and it causes your mouse to slide down an imperceptible incline.
