the answer right now is. MAYBE. It comes from M-theory which is a theory to bind together 5-11 different string theories.
If you believe or subscribe to the notion of M-theory then it states that strings are influenced by a 11th dimension effect which calls for many innumerable instances of reality to superimpose and influence upon a "string".
needless to say it is a very weird and disturbing notion to think your atoms are in and active in many different universes at once and not connected as a whole atom in some of them just parts of the particles are in the same/different/near different universe/states

Well, some people think there may be way our universe is connected to others, though we probably will not be able to get through them in the near future, if at all.

The universe is just what it says.one.
Anything connected to the universe is part of the universe anything not connected to it does not exist.

It could well be - although it's known as the multiverse not megaverse.
It's one of those things that is theoretically entirely possible, but we'll probably never know for sure. So frustrating.

Does it matter?
Man will never reach the end of the universe - this is too imponderable.
