This country would have been very different. I think we would be more spiritually advanced, more peaceful and we wouldn't have so much waste causing environmental problems. When we hurt and/or discriminate against a race of people most people don't realize how ultimately they are only hurting themselves in the end, not to mention showing how ignorant they are.
Anyways I think this country needs to wake up and to stop living in denial we are disrespecting ourselves and this land by believing that we are "the best" instead of looking at what is really going on.Actions do speak louder than words and we all need to admit what we have done that is wrong and we should start with the beginning when we all decided to come here and fight the Native Americans for their land when they didn't have the same weapons that we did. They were more peaceful and didn't need to make guns and bombs. That was an unfair fight.
I definitely believe that if Native Americans kept some control in deciding how this country is ran today that we wouldn't be having these unnecessary wars. The environment would be in much better shape and we would be more open minded especially to the possibility that other cultures are to be learned from not feared, hated, or mistreated. If Native Americans won The americans would most likely not be suffering from arrogance and blindly nationalistic patriotism.
To menon don't you get it there wouldn't be a WW2 or a cold war everything would be different and you can't take the Native American stereotype you have created in your mind and put them into all the same events/conflicts that Americans created for themselves. Those events wouldn't have even been concidered by the Native Americans can't you open your mind just a little bit?

If the Indians had won the battle against the white man, we would still be living off the land, there wouldnt be motor vehicles, factories, and everything we know today.

a different situation up to a point. there was a book titled " The Indians Won " written several years ago as an alternative history based on serious research. suggest you read this book if you can find a copy. very interesting.
Haven't read another book titled " Feathers in the Wind " by Winterhawk but am anxious to do so as this book ought to be along the same lines. This book is based on when Native Americans return to modern times from the past and they start from there.

Sorry. I have no context for this question. If you are locating it in the USA, then that would be a different answer to locating it in Canada. And.... if your were responding to the battle the Indian people in the Asian country of India against the white British colonisers, there would be a different answer again. I suspect that each of those countries would of course be different to what they are now. Everything changes with time. But would they be better? Then that is a different question.........

Just curious which "Whites" are you speaking of, the Dutch, French, English, Portuguese or Spanish? It makes a difference as to what time frame we are speaking of. If you mean all of them, then I would say that for the Western Hemisphere, if not the whole world, not much would have changed. The movement of Eurpeans into the "New World", for good and bad, sparked the greatest era of change the world has ever known.
Elieen : Just so you know, Europeans did not invent slavery. Even the Native Americans had a form of it.

i would thank the good lord jesus for all my cousins that would still be alive if it wasnt for all those racists white folks that shot em down just because the indians were smart enough not to sell them land
just so u know, there would probably be no slavery, if u think about it...(cause they wouldnt have enough land like they did when they came here to the americas)

All the medical and scientific advances the USA has pushed forward? Wouldn't have happened - we would still be dying of diseases that are treatable now.
And before anyone goes on about how the Indians were these super-spiritual, unique people; if you read into the backgrounds of any culture today, you will find that most had similar nature-based backgrounds.

Wow. talk about major counterfactual thinking.
ALOT of things would have been different. For starters, there would be no USA to speak of. WWII would have been different, the cold war might not have taken place, the global economy, the rise of islamic radicalism and so on. SooO many things would be different, not just in america, but across the globe.

Very very different and I honestly don't know what it would be like. My guess is:
More pure and not so technology centered, more spiritually and religiously centered. We would probably still be in England but I am part Native American so I have to say our country would probably be somewhat better and not have to worry as much about Global Warming as other countries.
