Well, in Alabama, you can't get a job until you are fifteen. Personally, I didn't start working until I was eighteen. But, most places that will hire a younger person would be grocery stores, fast food places (avoid if at all possible), movie rental places, and stuff such as that. You really have to have good connections to get a good job, no matter your age, or a college education. Just go and fill out some applications, and don't get discouraged. Alot of places won't even call you back, and some will interview you and then tell you they don't need you. Just keep trying. Goodluck.

no dont babysit, thats too much responsibilty for a 14 yr old
i have a 17 month old girl and i would never leave my daughter with a 14 yr old
try working at a grocery store as a cashier or sacker
or if you dont mind getting dirty, mow yards
whatever you do, just do your best and try to stay with that job for at least a year, this will look on your resume in years to come, when you want to get another job. and when you want to quit tell them about it, dont just leave, because then you wont be abe to use them as a refrence.
