It will, in time. Just that right now there is no hard, real drive. Okay there is a Nationalist Scottish Executive, but it is only a minority one, with just one seat to the next party, The SNP has been easily outvoted before, and it will definitely outvoted in passing an Independence Bill.
But as I say, given time a Scottish Parliament, and public may vote Aye on the Bill, just not in the lifetime of this Parliament. Who knows what will be the outcome in 4 years time...
I think if Scotland where to go Independent, the Union with N.Ireland, would also soon break. So I would call it Ewnalgelsand. lol :')

For the rest of UK may I suggest something strong and Celtic. How about Sassernakland!
In the Welsh language, I am glad to say there is no name for somewhere called England. It is just referred to as "lost land" as though some day we will reclaim it.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Scottish people for the complete defeat and annihilation of the Leg XX [20th Legion] of the Roman Army sent to Caledonia by that drunken bastard Caesar August, thankfully long dead!
Added note: Strange that the Yahoo spell checker thought that Sassernakland was England. Right then!

Scots believe in independence and their right to govern themselves. The Scots don't care what the UK call themselves--Scots are Scots, and that is that! Irish can be Irish, English are English, Americans are Americans, Germans are German, Russians are Russian. The Scots will be Scots forever!
