Recently my home flooded with sewage water. The whole basement was in at least a foot and a half of water. I have been trying to clean meticulously. Can anyone help inform me about ways to clean everything and help prevent mild, and mold. I have used bleach and Lysol, but any other information would be greatly appreciated.

When I get a customer who has a flooded home I refer a water damage company. They will come in and detect how much water is in your walls and along the baseboards. Just cleaning is not going to prevent mold. You must dry EVERYTHING. The water restoration company will tell you what if anything you need to have replaced. Then they will come in with fans and place them all along the walls and any affected areas. With the fans there will be a dehumifidier that will pull the moisture out of the air while the fans are drying the walls and floors. This is important so that the moisture doesnt travel to other parts fo the room or house. Usually your homeowners insurance covers that part but you may need to check. You should definitely call a water damage company! good luck

I had a pipe burst and a miserable time removing carpet in the basement and everything that got wet. The company came in and dried the basement with fans. I mopped with clorox water and wiped the paneling too. Some of the drywall got wet and you have to cut that out and replace with new drywall. I then got a B-Dry system put in my basement with a sump pump for any future problems (money well spent). SERV PRO was the company I used to help me dry the basement. You just have to have good ventilation when working with bleach. And occasionally just open the windows in the basement and air the place out. Baking soda sprinkled in the carpet helps too.

This is about all you can do. This happen to my family years ago after a tornado hit. We cleaned and cleaned, my dad and mom used bleach, hot soapy water, etc. There's nothing more that you can do.
After it was cleaned up, they realized we lived in a "tornado alley" and we moved. The area was hit again on several other occasions. I would think about it.

rent a pump and pump out water from there, then put a fan to dry up the basement walls . do not use bleach in basement unless you don't have strong ventilation system at there .
