i get lost in movies....i just love getting away from my real world and pretend i am the character and just fantasize about how my life would be like that of the movie i see ...of course this usually happens when i lay down on my bed before i sleep or when i just feel like relaxing by myself. and day dream. i mean i don't let it interfear with work, school, or anything i have to focus on......but
i don't know life is just so stressful at times and if i don't go out or have nothing to do....sometimes i just get a way for a while in my mind...is that bad?
or crazy? lol!

No not at all!

What you are doing is good!
Its not only a big way to refresh yourself from your obligations but its also a meditative state.

You may think people don't do this stuff but a majority of us do.

Those who don't have lost interest, and most likely have gotten depression.

This isn't bad at all.
And please.
Continue.

I also love the movies.

I get lost in the movie while I am watching it - I escape from the reality of my life and enter the lives of the people in the movie. It feels very good and it is a break from stress.

So, you escape for awhile from your stress by imagining yourself in the movie, why is that crazy or bad? You still know the difference between the real world and the movie world or your fantasies. I suppose it would be bad for you if you couldn't tell the difference - if you lost touch with reality, but you haven't and you are just taking a little mind trip, why not, life is a journey, isn't it? Why not be creative and dream?

Here are the lyrics to Daydream
Written By - John Sebastian

What a day for a daydream

What a day for a daydreamin' boy

And I'm lost in a daydream

Dreamin' 'bout my bundle of joy

And even if time ain't really on my side

It's one of those days for takin' a walk outside

I'm blowin' the day to take a walk in the sun

And fall on my face on somebody's new mowed lawn

I've been havin' a sweet dream

I been dreaming since I woke up today

It's starring me and my sweet dream

'Cause she's the one that makes me feel this way

And even if time is passin' me by a lot

I couldn't care less about the dues you say I've got

Tomorrow I'll pay my dues for dropping my load

A pie in the face for a sleepy bull toad

And you can be sure that if you're feelin, right

A daydream will last 'til long into the night

Tomorrow at breakfast you may prick up your ears

Or you may be daydreamin' for a thousand years

What a day for a daydream

What a day for a daydreamin' boy

And I'm lost in a daydream

I'm dreamin' 'bout my bundle of joy

No that's not crazy. All of use needs some distraction from time to time, life is tough and we'll get too jaded if we keeps on facing and dealing with all this problem without a break. fact is, we can't stop all this problem from coming, so what we could do is get away from it, put it aside once in awhile and take a break...

I daydream alot too, especially when I'm having harsh days.

ps: I sometimes fantasize myself as Dawson, the character from the old series Dawson's Creek. I fantasize about talking my problems to my friend the way the character talks in this show. heh

OH MY GOSH...I do the exact same thing! If I watch one show, on Monday, then I become a character from my favorite show CSI: Miami, I pretend that I'm gonna get rescued from Horatio...(I know, I'm whacked...lol!)
Then on Wednesday, I pretend I'm another BAU person from Criminal Minds, who has a relationship with Dr Reid...
Then on Thursday, I am a "spirit hunter" or whatever they're called, because I pretend that I am helping Dean and Sam from Supernatural...I thought no one else did this stuff!!!

I do this with movies that I see too! Harry Potter, for example...even Star Wars!!!

I sometimes do the same thing. It shows you have a good imagination, you have a joy for dreaming. I think it's healthy as long as you keep things in perspective.

It's a good thing. People who love to read will give you this reason. It takes them away.

Don't ever let anybody tell you that they have never done that. We all do.
