Anyone know??

I want to know what do those things have in common because I've hated all 3 of them. Sometimes it's hard to be around people because people go crazy for stuff like that. I watch them, and I just hate them. They annoy me, and I find them boring.

Other than those people having a lot of hardcore fans.

I just don't understand why do I hate those things so much. What could they have in common?

Let's see....they all have Wizards in them. Obi-Wan and Yoda are LIKE wizards, or mentors. Then obviously Gandalf, and Harry Potter. You hate wizards!!! This is a fairly rare disease, but it's easy to treat. Consult your family physician.

They're all about another world and have scary creatures in them. Also they all have millions of fans and movies about them. They all have a huge dark side which I'm not so great with which is why I too don't care for any of them although I will admit that the Lord Of The Rings is a really well written story.

They're all fantasy; they all fall under the heading (ultimately) of mythology and epic tales. They all have a hero; the good guy wins, the bad guy loses, etc. Without knowing you, it's hard to say, but I would guess (and I'm not trying to be mean) that you have a hard time allowing the "child" inside to come out for some reason. The "why" is something that I suspect only you can say.

well,
i think i don't hate them very much, not as much as you, actually i just hate THE LORD OF THE RING,and you're right about HARRY PORTER too,the episode 3,4 are kinda boring on the film, but many people who read it said it is more interesting to read.Anyway, the things think they have in common is they are all hard to understand because you know they have put a long long long story into just a few hours film,so many scenes are just hard to understand and not as interesting. And i think STAR WARS is too long.

it's all in fantasy land, but with allusions to everyday life, real human interactions issues and real social problems. you might simply not see those connections and get lost in the fantasy part of it, and if you are more grounded than you want to see only what you can see in real life and what you can identify with. I like them because they masterfuly disguise our own problems and often magnify or minimize them to an unrecognizable level for the "untrained" or for those who do not have such problems, but they may see something that I'm not noticing. These movies usually have layers in them, the fantasy overlapping the reality and so on, but the fantasy is based on the reality.

They have all made a fortune for the people who invested in making them into films.
Then there is the merchandising.Combined they would be generating billions of dollars.
The actual sale of the books would proberly have created the least amount of money.

Judgmentalism, violence and fantasy.

The violence is self-righteous and 'justified' by fantasy-fueled conflicts.

I liked the Harry Potter movie I saw only because of the way it depicted private school life. That was true to form, at least with my experience of it. The rest of it was hogwash, not Hogwarts.

All three are epics, in that they follow the epic literary format. All pit good and evil against each other, where evil is the material, old and controlling (mind) aspect, and good is the spiritual, young and brave (heart) aspect. In this manner they are also addressing the age-old tension between fathers/sons and rulers/new leaders.
Because the heart(eemotion)/mind(logic) and good/evil tension is so dep-seated in our minds and hearts, stories that address them will always be successs.

you probably don't like epic story lines. And the Star Wars series are movies, the other two are books.
