All bands are at some point up-and-coming. Later, they are all down-and-going. It's mainly a question of how far up they go before they start declining.

im going to say 98% absolutely not. At least you could tell the crap on the radio apart before. Ever since Korn and Limp Bizkit it all sounds the same. . . rap rock, emo, the new crap they call hardcore, it all sucks. Every once in awhile someone will be decent but there's so many bands they dont last long.

While I feel most new music is superficial cat plop, there are always a few that manage to shine through. My current favorite group that is known to few is Scroobius Pip vs. Dan Le Sac. These guys rock togeather and apart in their own respect. Search for Scoobius Pip on myspace or YouTube, you'll see.

yea i like up and coming bands like boys like girls and stuff..i mostly listen to bands that have been around for a few years too tho like atreyu and the used and MCR but yea some up and coming bands are bringing a lot to the table and are gonna last a long time!

i like a lot of up-and-coming bands, but i also like a lot of bands who are probably destined to stay underground forever.

it can be hard to define up-and-coming though, because you never know which bands are going to blow up. i never would have thought that Gym Class Heroes or The Plain White T's would have had number one songs.

i dont completely understand what you mean but there is this band that just came out not that long ago that i really like. they're called cobra starship. you might not like them but i think they're worth looking up.
