dont get me wrong I want my father to be happy but him getting married right know is a mistake. He still loves my mother not just because shes my mother in another kind of way. He also still talks to other women but he says I'm going to stop as soon as I tie the knot. I need to know what can I do to make him see that getting married is not the answer ............He also stated baby I'm getting to old and I never been married I've done everything else in my life so I got to do this. If you know what I should do respond back. THANKS

It's his life, and you have to let him live it. Maybe he's not in love with your mom, you just want to believe that. Or maybe he is and this is his way of moving on. If your parents aren't still together, they aren't together for a reason. And it's your dads time to move on. He'll realise if getting married or not is right. But tell him how you feel about him getting married. Maybe then he'll come to his senses.

Marco I think maybe the other post here are right, it just don't work, it's just too hard to change anyone's mind, But it will be nice I think if you try, but be truthful in telling what you think and be easy, don't over do it, or get mad, hey if it don't work, just think you did your best... Invite your mom and dad out for a day sightseeing, if you live somewhere like San Francisco or New York.
Or just ask them both to dinner. Tell them both how you feel, and see what they say. It worked for Hayley Mills in that movie, didn't it?

You probably see the truth in the issue but if he doesn't see it himself, he won't listen even if a spaceman stood by his bed and blasted Van Halen into his ears!!
Let him learn from his own mistakes. If he's gonna do it, he's gonna do it.
Love him for how he is. Hope that he will change.
