The spacecraft does a de-orbit burn, which slows it down slightly so that it will re-enter the atmosphere. Atmospheric braking finishes the job.

You are getting sarcastic answers because your question is amazingly elementary for this day and age, and because the answer will take a lot of writing.

The best thing for you to do is do an internet search on "rocketry," or "re-entry from orbit," or go to www.nasa.gov and look around for their information pages on how spacecraft and space missions work.

I believe www.howstuffworks.com can also give you a good explanation.

They use the transporter and beam back down! They stick out their thumbs and hitch a ride with either the French or the Russians if they're smart!
