my armpit hairs just started to be visible now that im already 20 yrs old cos im of oriental descent, naturally smooth, and very light-skinned. im thinking if having hair under my arms suits me cos part of me wants to take them out and part of me wants them there. Im gay, slim and muscular c though i kinda act feminine. so which do you think will be more appropriate, hairless pits or with har? tnx

There aren't any rules about things like this. Try shaving if you want to, then grow it out again, then shave again in a couple of years if you get the urge. It's entirely up to you. There's less chaffing if you keep the hair, so it's more comfortable for some sports to have it. It's just hair -- it will grow back, so you're not making any irrevocable decisions. And you don't need to please anyone but yourself and maybe your boyfriend, if he has a strong preference. Pit hair for some reason usually grows back without as much itching as crotch hair.

Do not shave your armpits. Underarm hair is a very masculine thing. If you're gay and you want to attract men who are into men then you want to look as masculine as possible. Doesn't that make sense? That goes for shaving down below too. Don't!

why would gay be any different than straights as far as "arm pit maintenence" goes? Why are we even talking about "armpit maintenence"???

Honestly, only you can answer this for yourself. Since you say you are kind of feminine, I would lean towards shaving them.
Shave them for a little while, and if you decide you don't like it, then stop. It'll grow back.

It is totally up to you, and how comfortable it is for you to have hair or none. If you want them out, shave them off or have it waxed. Or if you want it on the middle, trim it.
