Hey Guys,
I was given some equations to work out for homework. Most of them I have got but some of the harder ones I cannot. For each we have been told one of the products that they form. But this still doesnt help for me.

Can anyone help?

They are:

KMnO4 + FeSO4 (Have been told that it forms MnO2)

FeSO4 + NaSCN (Have been told that it changes Fe2+ to Fe3+)

CuSO4 + HCl (Have been told that it forms [CuCl4]2-)

CuSO4 + NaOH + heat (Have been told that it forms CuO)

Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks

1. (MnO4)- + 3Fe2+ + 4H+ -------> MnO2 + 3Fe3+ + 2H2O

2. Get a new teacher. This is simply untrue. NaSCN reacts with Fe3+ ions only, to form a blood-red complex in solution.

3. Cu2+ + 4Cl- ----> [CuCl4]2-

CuSO4 + 2NaOH ------> CuO + H2O + Na2SO4
