Yes true Barty Crouch was interesting but so was Lupin. I would argue Lupin he taught Harry the patonuses.. :-) Against dementors they were the most useful...

Harry wins hands down. Although Harry would probably answer Lupin and Mad Eye's imposter should definately get some credit.
I say Harry because he managed to teach the kids things that other teachers had failed at. Neville especially is a good example. It is during his time practicing with Dumbledore's Army that he really begins to shine and gain confidence in his own abilities.
Also, Harry managed to teach them how to make a patronus, something that should have been beyond all their capabilities.
His teaching style and the results he produced make him the best teacher.

It's a toss up between Lupin and Umbrige.
Lupin sincerely cared about the students and the student loved him. He taught them what they needed to be taught and was all around a great teacher.
Umbrige was an awful teacher and a mean woman but it was because of her that the students found the courage to start the DA. And because of the DA student gained the confidence to face Voldemort's Death Eaters.

Lupin, hands down !!! Though I would go with Harry too, because he taught the DA everything they know now ! Like the creating Patronuses, which will help them alot in defeancing theirselves against Dementors. And the stunning charm, and much much more. Though Harry wasnt REALLY a teacher... so yahh... Lupin would definatly be my choice. Cause he's the one who actually taught DEFENCE Against The Dark Arts !
GOOO LUPIN... GOOO HARRY... GOOO LUPIN... GO HARRY !!! lol

I, too, would have to go with Remus Lupin. I mean, he was the only actual DADA teacher who actually taught the students useful things. Mad Eye's imposter, while entertaining (malfoy the amazing bouncing ferret) was a murderer posing as a teacher and shouldn't really get the props--ya know?

Gotta go with Harry as well. He managed to teach so many students from so many different years all at once how to defend themselves when Umbridge clearly wouldn't teach them anything. And he managed to help students learn the various charms, spells, and jinxes easier than they would have under any of the regular teachers. Neville did a better job learning under Harry than under anyone else. Cho claimed she had never been able to learn the stunning charm before Harry taught it to her. Harry even managed to teach the DA how to cast a patronous, something Lupin told Harry was really advanced magic even for adults.

Though mad-eye was good,
My vote goes for lupin only.
He is simply cool.............. he taught harry a magic which went on to become the most useful and handy one,if you ask me.Also Harry felt close to him than anybody else, I believe.
By the way, I would like to ask you how you give 10 pts to yourself????(don't think I am going to use them....just curiosity)
