is it bad manners to sing "What's that coming over the hill? Is it a monster, is it a monster?"

Harry - what? Nonsense. I went to church school as a kid we were always taught that the aisle was the centre bit.

What about the minor detail that the phrase for getting marries is going "down the aisle"??

I know the central aisle is the nave, but an aisle is an aisle is an aisle.

Just so long as you're not singing over everyone elses rendition of the theme from the Addams family...the two might clash.

Harry - the bride walks down the 'centre' aisle...go and have a look at church architecture.

Love it!!! It will only be bad manners if you can't hold a note for toffee - but make sure you can make a quick getaway!! A clear, uncrowded route to the door would be a favourite - now what's that called? Oh, yes - the AISLE!!!

Not if you're her bratty little sister or the ex-gf of the groom. Otherwise, wait until the reception to sing.

Well it beats -

Here comes the bride
40 inches wide,
Had to take the doors off
To get her inside.

(sung to wedding march tune!)
LOL

When a friend of mine remarried his first wife, I had to stop myself from singing Elton John's "The BitchIs Back."

Depends on your relationship with the bride. Watch your back!
