worked at a place where u had to clock in and out and forgot to clock out??? @)#*&#)!!!!!!!!! i forgot today and just realized while on the computer?!?!?!? will i get fired for it or they can fix it. this is my 2nd week working there....so im kind of new. but this totally sucks?!?!? what would u think will happen and has this ever happen to you??? i think there gonna tell me not to clock in for the amount of time i wasnt working.

they can fix it and im a manager at a store that clocks in and out. its not so bad just let them know KNOW before they print out their labor reports. you wont get fired....

You won't get fired for it I'm sure. I don't know what type of work that you do, but I've been a manager in restaurants as well as factories, and have dealt with people not clocking out at both places. If you do a job that requires you to work the same hours everyday and there's no schedule posted the manager will write you out at your regular time, unless you left early or late. If you do restaurant work where your hours vary and are scheduled weekly, they will write you out on your scheduled time.I usually initialed the time card, and then had my emplyee that forgot to punch out to do the same.That's CYA for both people. This is aggravating to the person that does the cards so as a rule please try to sign out!

I worked at a place where everyone was supposed to clock in and out. Everyone forgot. So they wrote it in usually. It shouldn't be any big deal. After all you have only been there two weeks.

well... i do work in a place where i need to clock in....
but i never clock out.. coz im in sales.. and im mostly not in the office in the evening. and its fine for the sales ppl in my company.
wht u shud do ... is inform immideately to the concerened person.. that u forgot to clock out.. this way... u wont have any problems..

yeah, I did it all the time..... Thank God I will never have to do that anymore, I just kinda come and go... I usually still work 40 hours a week though.

they will probably just write in the time you were supposed to get off. that's what they did for me when I forgot.

yea its probably not a big deal, just tell your boss so they can fix it.......and if they fire you for something like that, it probably wasn't a good to place to work anyways.

im sure someone there can confirm what time you left.yes,thats very normal...and youve only been there two weeks,so im sure they will understand.its happen to me dozens of times.dont stress

most places have "missed punch" cards that they can fill out and give to HR.
