Saw the final concert of his 2007 World Tour in Columbus, Ohio. I've been to a lot of concerts and this was simply the best show that I've ever been to. He's not one to engage the crowd in small talk. He comes out and plays for over two hours. Which is exactly what the audience wants. Simply amazing.

Yes.
That's all to your question? What would you like to know?
It was 1983, and I remember at the time being significantly
disappointed. The material and performance were dry.
And this is coming from an absolute fan AND quite
open-minded when it comes to the whole music thing.
His performances prior tended to be intense and rocky,
and soulful. His work since only got bluesier, which
for my money and listenership means sheer salivation.
I recall specifically telling people afterward,
"It must've been an off-night for him."
< Hope that answers. If you're considering seeing
him now, DO. He is truly better than ever, and
honestly, second only to J. Hendrix.
And BB King will back me up on that.
