Don't forget my star. Give me one if you think I should.

Nothing crazy is going to happen the day of the verdict. It's not going to be like the LA riots where the not guilty verdict against the cops who beat Rodney King was obviously the wrong call. Everyone knows what Vick has done, and I hate to say it, but the young black community knows more than anyone that he's guilty. I would hope a community wouldn't use a guilty verdict against an african american celebrity to start a riot, but worse things have happened.

Now, I would probably stay away from the courthouse as there are going to be plenty of PETA and other protestors.

I don't know if this is what you were talking about, but that's what I got from your question.

Amanda, I live in Atlanta as well. I think we should just wait and take measure of the public's reaction at the TIME of the verdict rather than deciding now.

I understand your questions though, because inside the city limits Atlanta is predominately black. If there is a guilty verdict I suspect that will be some rioting, but measuring the risk at the time would probably be our best bet.

I really expect him to plea though, rather than go through a trial. This would probably seriously reduce his jail time, and I really do think he's going to go for that, rather than have all the nasty details come out in depth.

Greetings! My hunch is that the Vick verdict will not cause any rioting in ATL. PETA will go berserk if he gets acquitted, but they don't have the clout to create a riot situation.

I also think that Vick will not pick up the endorsements he lost, will not be allowed to return to the team and probably will be banished by the NFL, regardless of the verdict. No one will want anyone who is even remotely involved with something as heinous as dogfighting.

Take care.

Dont know if you should stay home or not.

But hopefully the throw the book at Vick, throw his *** in jail, fine it even harder, and end his career in football, I am tired of seeing all these celebrities getting in trobule and using there money to get out of it.

To bad it will have to be Vick but somebody has got to be the example for the rest.

You'll be fine....I was in downtown Richmond the day he was formally charged, and while there were lots of people, control was kept.....a trial, if one is held (he may take a plea bargain, etc.) would be around November according to the news media, and I would go to work when that is taking place as well....

ummm.... No! You have a job, that's a responsibility. Why blow a day off for a verdict you can find out online while at work? Or off the radio?

Why? Go to work. Vick is an entertainment figure. Get on with your life.

Ha ha
Don't worry about 75% of us in ATL have come to terms that Vick is prolly guilty, dont expect any riots :)

if he is found guilty , he will be in a dog fight almost daily

called the American prison system , and he will find out he is a wiener dog in the ring with pit bulls ,

maybe pacman Jones will get his back , Jones should be along shortly

what a dumb *** though to blow a 105 million contract for that

i guess stupidity knows no bounds

Ouch, that does suck for you. I would say take a good three days off. Maybe set up something where you can work at home if possible.
