He has to end ties with her, not you. If there are kids involved she will be there for the long haul and you need to find a way to accept her limited presence. If no kids are involved, then you and your fiance will create your own relationship and she should fade into the background naturally in time.

Its your fiances responsibility to get rid of his ex wife. If he is not doing this then you need to ask why he still has involvement with her and decide if you can live with this.
Sadly, that's the price you may have to pay for marrying someone who's been divorced.

Talk directly to your fiance by being open and honest about how you feel about his ex-wife. Depending on the situation and circumstances he will take it from there.

If they have kids together you will never get rid of her. You have to decide if you can or cannot accept her being a part of your life for the rest of your life. If you cannot accept her being a part of your life find another guy to marry that does not have an ex wife.

I would love to know how to do this myself. If they have kids together than it will never happen. Just like in my situation.
You know if there are kids than you don't have to be around when the exchange happens. You owe him/her nothing. Just as long as he/she is not trying anything with fiance.

convince her how happy your fiance is with you she will then realize how unbreakable you all are and leave him alone unless she has kids with him but in that case she will just stop bothering you
