Of course, faith is a word often associated with religion, and that is the first idea that has come to mind... Since I am not very religious, I will think of it as hope for the best or for what is to come. What I get from this, the person speaking has never felt the hope that others have felt. It comes off as a little depressing that they have never felt the courage to believe in anything as another has.

Faith means to believe in spite of or in contradiction to the facts... A man of reason cannot accept anything on these terms and cannot comprehend someone basing their important life's decisions on such a blind process.

The speaker is telling someone who has expressed a deep faith (in someone, in religion, or whatever) that the speaker has never felt that (kind of faith).

It could be a nice way of saying they think either your faith or who you place your faith in is not worthy.

I interpret it as 'You may choose to be faithful to me, but I don't feel inclined to do the same for you.'
Pretty familiar scene.
