It's a paper mill--everyone knows it. Your buying your Degree---not working for it. You work in study groups---so there is one person working hard and everyone rides on their back. So in the end--you get your degree, but-you don't get the knowledge. It meets the bottom spec. of what an employer wants---but, doesn't help you when competing against people with other Masters in the same field. " real wold experience" like their advertising says---give me a break, If they were any good they would be making $105K or more of a full professor instead of $48K and trying to teach you how to succeed where they could not.

The business programs at UOP recently gained specialized, programmatic accreditation. LESS THAN 25 percent of US schools with business programs have that. UOP is still HUGE and it can have a bad rap. The programs can be rigorous and classes are accelerated.
I did two master's degrees there and have gotten two promotions and now have a job offer at another company.
You get what you put in at any place. I see some people calling it a degree mill but that person doesn't even have the sense to at least check his spelling and include apostrophes... :-)

University of Phoenix is a for profit diploma mill. The school is the single largest recipient of federally-insured student loan funds of any school. Businesses located in Phoenix do not take the school seriously at all.

University of Phoenix is also a brick and mortar school. They have hundreds of campuses nationwide but they also do have that online modality.
I think its a great school - I graduated with my MBA last year and now I make little over six figures. It worked great with my work week, and I learned lots from it. I would highly recommend it!

No. Any school that focuses more on convenience than on quality is a rip-off. If you need to do an online program, go for one at a recognized college which also has a traditional brick-and-mortar operation.
