As to the freedoms we have lost, the democratic party has now made it illegal for a preacher to speak out against homosexuals. There is serious talk about bringing back the fairness doctorine, which is censorship. There are top democrats that are speaking of robbing all americans of their 2nd amendment rights. We are being robbed of our economic freedom more and more everyday, due to the largest tax hike in american history. The liberals and socialists are doing everything possible to ban christianity from all public places, and ban conservatism from the radio. These are the freedoms I am adressing.

Personally I think the entire Constitution is worth protecting. Everyone's liberty is important. Protecting some war protester's right to free speech is just as important as preserving my right to keep and bear arms. The right to a trial by jury is just as valuable as the right to freely practice your religion anywhere you want to. Both the right and the left have areas where they fall short of recognizing the full rights granted by the Constitution. But no where in this question did I see anything about religion in the classroom. While I don't agree with everything my fellow Texan believes in, he does make a lot of valid points. And for those of you concerned about the erosion of civil liberties in this country, you can't let liberties such as free speech, freedom of religion and the right to bear arms slip away just because you don't agree with them. There is no freedom from being offended guaranteed. Stand up for all the rights you have so you can keep the ones that mean the most to each of you.

So you think it's alright then to indoctrinate our children with ancient fairy tales that have more to do with astrology then with fact?

I guess you also think it's right that the tax cuts only effected the super wealthy. And you probably also like the idea of the no child left behind scam. What about faith based initiatives? Why are my tax dollars going to that? Why is it that you think it's alright for millions of people to own fully automatic assault rifles? You think that will make you safer? (By the way, owning a gun is not a right, its a privilege. Much like a drivers license, Please refer to the Constitution), Are you one of those guys that preaches the 10 commandments and then runs off to some pro-war rally right after you attend the anti-stem cell research rally?

I guess you think it's OK that your phone is tapped. And that you can be carried off to jail without charges, a lawyer or evidence. And that you can be held indefinitely.

IF YOU WANNA TALK ABOUT THE CONSTITUTION YOU SHOULD KNOW A FEW THINGS FIRST. THE PATRIOT ACT AND THE MILITARY COMMISSIONS ACT OF 2006 HAVE ERADICATED ALL BUT ONE OF THE BILL OF RIGHTS. THAT BEING THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO PROVIDE ROOM AND BOARD TO THE MILITARY. YET.

Yep your right. Those darn liberals are just stealing all of our rights away. Those commies. Grow up man and look at the country you live in. You can't honestly think that this is the way the founding fathers intended it to be can you?

A surgeon general's report in 2006 that called on Americans to help tackle global health problems has been kept from the public by a Bush political appointee without any background or expertise in medicine or public health, chiefly because the report did not promote the administration's policy accomplishments, according to current and former public health officials.

Three people directly involved in its preparation said its publication was blocked by William R. Steiger, a specialist in education and a scholar of Latin American history whose family has long ties to President Bush and Vice President Cheney.

Steiger, 37, is a godson of former president George H.W. Bush and the son of a moderate Republican who represented Wisconsin in the House and hired a young Dick Cheney as an intern. The elder Bush appointed Steiger's mother to the Federal Trade Commission in 1989.

You confused everybody. Your first and second questions sound like you are referring to Bush & Cheney, the ones who have been trampling everything and everyone. Then, your added details reveal you are another angry conservative!! Can you tell by the answers how people misunderstood you? Do you think it would be wise to allow every different religion in this country to be equally represented in our classrooms? It would be fair, but there aren't enough hours in the day to accomodate such a thing and there would be no time for education. So what would you propose as the fair solution?

Many people are NOT complacent. People are trying to impeach these fascists now in office. Alberto Gonzales is a joke. Cheney sends our kids to war so he can fatten his stock portfolio. Bush is too dumb to know he is being used - he is a stubborn moron.

There are some spiritual seers who predict the polarization of Americans will continue until the system collapses. Some believe this is the "End Times." One thing is for sure - the powers that be are using fear to take our rights away.
Bush spends a TRILLION DOLLARS for this senseless war - he is borrowing that money from China, so we are all in debt to a foreigh nation.

Best thing - get out and vote the bums out of office.

Because our society, corporations and Gov't breed children out of the population. And because so many Americans at all different ages are children, they want the Gov't to be Mommy and Daddy so they don't have as many responsibilities. It's sad but true. If people would just grow up and realize what they can gain when they are responsible for themselves and their neighborhoods, we'd have a better and more free America.

And for the people saying we haven't lost freedoms, that's a joke. Best example(and I'm not racist) is hate crimes. Someone kills me and someone else kills my friend(who happens to be African-American) and the one that kills her gets more time in prison than the one that killed me. NO MATTER HOW YOU CUT IT, THAT MEANS HER LIFE IS WORTH MORE THAN MINE. How is that equal??????

What liberties have been trampled on?

Be specific, I am tired of unhinged liberals making these ridiculous statements without even having a legitimate grievance other than they hate the President.
