so there is a academy award for short films right? but where do they show? like i know its not in a theatre so where can you watch them or find out about them?

They do show them in theatres, at film festivals all over the place. They also show them on IFC. Check out the article below for more info :-)

What do you mean? Are you looking for film schools?
As for clips, check youtube....they have plenty of short adaptation's, some of them are quite good.
