Department of labor wage and hour division. There isn't a lot they can do if it was only one day. Some jobs don't require a break because the work has natural breaks.
I believe the law is a 30 minute meal break if you work 5 hours and a 10 minute other break.

check out your state's website

depending on the state....for instance in the state of Pennsylvania...I recently found out that you can work an 8 hr shift and your employer is not required to give you a break...if you are an adult of course

Unless your job is asking you to, I wouldn't tell anybody. It would be the DOL (department of labor) if anyone, but if you want your job for a while you don't want to be "that guy."
