Many actors trained and studied privately, for years with New York and Los Angeles acting coaches.

They may not make that information public, to protect their acting coach (who does NOT have time for non-professional actors.)

Some actors still get "brush-up sessions,"with their coach.
I know a Celebrity Acting Coach who coaches an "A" list of NY/L.A. stars.

I was at the office of this coach to the "stars," when a "A" list star client had a melt down, and the coach ran out of the office, jumped in a taxi and went to "coach " this "star.

The "Emergency?" The STAR did not know how to "cry" on cue!

While acting in theater can help your acting, acting in movies is a totally different thing all together. You do need different training for film. The best thing is to get some film acting experience by auditioning for local independent films in nearby colleges or universities with film departments, they are always looking for actors to be in their films, most especially minorities! This way you can work on your film reel to submit to agents, as well as meet new contacts. Best of luck!

How did you come to that spectacularly incorrect conclusion?
EVERY working actor has had a LOT of training.
